Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. This is what I heard this morning at Trader Joe’s from a young kid all of 5 shopping with his mother. We were both shopping for flowers and he picked dead flowers and all he wanted was purple “alive” flowers. So I helped him out and taught him you need to smell the flowers but he took the best of 3 and started to recite Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. He found the one he liked, then handed his mother one and then gave me the third bunch. As we walked throughout the same small store we both bought fruit but he recommended the cotton candy grapes. I never had them so I bought them. We ended up at the same register today and both had the best purple flowers (he picked mums) for me and I told him thanks for the eeny meeny way of picking things. Ironically he didn’t slow down my shopping but he did make it a lot more fun. 🥰
