What do you love about where you live?

I love that I grew up near the water and only moved 5-10 minutes from water all my life. Being near water is such a calming thing. A place to meditate, be with nature and feel the cool water breezes enter and exit your soul. It’s peace and comfort. I’ve traveled in the United States and can honestly say the first question I ask is “where is the beach?” (Just not in a drunk Snooki’s like way).

Being near a harbor and watching the excitement of boats being put in the water in May and the leaving in September to get bubbled wrapped for the winter is fascinating. I love reading boat names; some are so funny and some are so spiritual.

I parked under a boat daily on my Dunkin run. That boat went back into the water this year but it’s name was Orion and that’s a stars name.

Two weeks again the boat was cleaned and disappeared so I’m not sure if it will ever come back. Living in a small town, I could ask around but I have faith it will reappear.

So, what I love most is living near water. I worked at the harbor for many years as a tennis court attendant and I always say my soul is on court 1. Why? Because it’s the one court that you can see the water. It’s just perfection.

A place where you find peace
