Share a story about the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home.

The furthest I’ve traveled was Turks & Caicos at around 22 years old but I was supervised by an adult. Being in a traditional Italian family traveling far means 1 mile over the neighboring Town.

When I was 29, I did just that. Moved over so close to the town I grew up in that the “Welcome to *** Village” was literally across the street. This was a sign of defiance.

Moving so far from home gave me the independent to do just about anything. I had just come off a breakup that was, I thought, leading to marriage.

My new life was great and living alone for 20 years made me who I am today. I sold that condo in 2022 and moved closer to my parents in the same zip code but they respect my boundaries so it’s a real sign of growth.

You see you can go to the moon and if someone loves and is connected to you, your heart will feel them and you don’t feel the loss if they are far away.

Maybe, I detailed today’s blog but my intention was to think outside the box. Ever heard the saying, I love you to the Moon and back”. Well, I can tell you right now that person who traveled to the moon didn’t have an Italian family! 🤣.
