What personality trait in people raises a red flag with you?
Rage is a red flag. Any man who says to me, “oh, I have a bad temper”; that’s when I run from that relationship. I’ve walked on eggshells for too many abusive boyfriends to know that a bad temper is a red flag not to be tolerated.
When I used to do online dating 20 years ago, I made all my dates at the Cheesecake Factory. That place always had a wait and I used to use that wait as a test to see what the guy would do. with a long wait.
I had 3 dates there. The first guy didn’t want to wait and we left for another place and I never had a second date with him. Lack of patience snowballs into anger which snowballs into rage.
The second date wanted to meet me at 11pm for dinner. He was a controlling man and we met once but he ordered for me and gave me a schedule when he could see me. After that disaster I gave up!
Date 3 popped up on my phone and the guy seemed cool and sweet. We set a date to meet at the Cheesecake Factory and the 3rd date was the charm. The wait was 45 minutes and for that wait I got to see the funny, courteous and adorable man. He was a perfect date and no anger issues. We dated a bit but it never ended up a relationship but my “tests” for patience really worked.
If you feel scared around somebody that’s a red flag. This can include family members as well. Flags thrown on the field are not just for football; it’s real life too. So read the red flags and always see how a man treats his mother and his waiter/waitress. That will show you everything!
