When you think of the word “successful,” who’s the first person that comes to mind and why?
Martha Stewart at 82 years old comes to mind as a success mostly because she went to jail and created a larger empire after jail.
When my grandmother was alive she had a list of people she watched on tv and listened too.
Oprah made her tell me to get a neddi pot which almost killed her when she chocked on the water. She held her head over the sink and started to choke and laugh at the same time. Oprah, I love her too but she had my grandma dancing like a puppet with her show. 😂
Now, Martha Stewart never made my grandmother choke and she “alova” (she had a thick Italian accent) her for her products.
Personally, I respect her since she can hang with Snoop Dog, do a cover shoot of Playboy at her age, and still make a boss cake. Her books and life are an inspiration because she is a bad ass.
When I moved I needed new everything and she sells to home goods now. I have her blackout velvet curtains that allow me to sleep like I’m in a cocoon. I bought her fall wreath this year that makes me smile daily since my grandmother would have loved the fake fruit on it. I love it because it has glitter and burlap and when it fell twice nothing broke. She has a high level of quality and I love that about her brand.
She probably taught a cake baking class in jail and probably showed them how to conceal a phone in the middle.
She is amazing at 82 and paid her dues. Some may hate her but when you find her name tag on a product, you can guarantee you have just won the lotto.
