Before my grandmother passed away, she taught me a very valuable lesson. She had a green thumb and a beautiful garden of ivy inside her house which got daily sun, love and attention. She would shine her plants with special plant cleaner and took meticulous care of them. I would always say grandma your crazy, I’m not cleaning each leaf and shining it; nobody has time for that, but she did.
We brought them to the nursing home where they thrived. She said to me the way to keep plants alive is to trim back the dead parts before the whole plant dies.
Every time I buy a plant and yes, kill it, I always think to myself what a valuable lesson especially on New Year’s Eve.
Look at your life and cut out what is truly “killing you” or holding you back or else you won’t thrive in life. Nothing grows in toxicity and you truly need to branch out to grow. Comfort can kill you so in 2024, get up and GROW.
Happy New Year!!!
