Write a letter to your 100-year-old self.
Dear 100 year old Ruth-
First off, damn you made it to 100 and were blessed with trials, tribulations and horrible health. That is how you survived since you were chosen at a very early age to help others and to be a living, walking testament to God and his love.
You learned that you are love and God gave you a great love that did not stick around but instead you found out that you were enough.
That’s when your life took a turn for the better. You took risks knowing you would never reach 100 and through your daydreams you manifested love. Your love of dogs helped you to live to a ripe old age since they are unconditional love.
Your heart was filled with breaks, bandaids, and scars but ironically, the light 💡 of your spirit shined the brightest after every heartbreak. You never had your own kids but you were of great comfort to many and your love was loyal.
In the end, I found God through my hardships and wake up daily, open up my blackout shades and say, “Thank you God for another day”. That’s how I got to be 100.
May someone read this and realize you never know the daily struggles we are facing so be kind to others. We’re all connected (yes, I love the show Manifest)!
