Scour the news for an entirely uninteresting story. Consider how it connects to your life. Write about that.
I read an article that connects to my life but is an uninteresting story. The story is about the show Sweet Magnolias from Netflix.
The story said that the shows 3rd season was holding strong on Netflix top 10 yet alluded to the fact it was mostly caused by the hunky jock turned gym teacher.
I love Netflix binging. I tried this show a few times and just couldn’t connect with the horrible accents to the casting and storylines that were just really unbelievable.
Last week I decided to watch the last episode of the last season because of a wedding. I had lost such interest in the show I skipped through 8 episodes just to see what the hype was about. So, as I fast forwarded each 4 minutes seeing what was happening, I lost more interest. Intimately I watched a total of one minute for that “happy” ending.
Then it hit me! I didn’t believe the stories that this show was bad and that the main lead had been such a great actress in Reba. I tried to rationalize good things in the show but when the actual song irks me which is my most favorite part about binge watching, I realized that there are 3 seasons of crap on Netflix that people need to be warned of. Sweet Magnolias is nothing like STEEL Magnolia’s. It wrecks of a stench of skunk! Horrible.
I didn’t need a happy ending; I just needed to be validated that it sucked and that my intelligent self could move on to better series like Grace and Frankie which is about getting older and adds laughter to my day daily.
So for anybody reading this, warn your loved on of this show. The cute jock needed a haircut as well so even his appeal couldn’t keep me. Turn off Netflix for a day and enjoy the sunshine because before we know it, the warm sun will only be warm on our faces during crisp fall days.
