What historical event fascinates you the most?

The Titanic was the most historical event that fascinates me and James Cameron.

When the movie opened I was in my first relationship and I saw the movie on a double date in Staten Island. The other couple were married and I was newly in love.

We sat for 3 hours and watched this movie based upon the Titanic sinking of 1912. I never knew about this and was hoping they all survived but as we know the outcome wasn’t good and the way they died was horrific.

During the movie, the other guy from the couple fell asleep and at the very end of the movie woke up and said out loud, “oh, that’s jack frost” as Jack was dying on the driftwood with Rose.

When Celine Dion’s song, my heart will go on, closed the movie my heart ached at the very thought of not being with my love and I was so sad really processing this movie.

If the movie is on TV, I must watch it and it truly amazes me each time I cry. My heart did move on from that relationship I was in back then but it was truly the first time I understood what empathy and true love was.
